Sheila F. Maith, JD, PCC

My Practice

I have over 25 years of experience coaching, managing and leading teams to deliver results. I serve clients from diverse industries: professional associations, legal and financial services, education, pharmaceuticals, venture capital, software, philanthropy, federal service and not-for-profit organizations. My consulting practice includes executive coaching and consulting, including work as a trainer, facilitator and strategic advisor. I bring my experiences in government and in the non-profit and private sectors as an executive, a funder, an advocate and a board member to deliver high value services to my clients.

Prior Experience

Prior to launching Maith Consulting I held positions as Community Affairs Officer and Senior Advisor for the Federal Reserve Board, as Managing Director of Policy and Leadership Development at the Fannie Mae Foundation, and as Senior Counsel to Senator Edward M. Kennedy on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. I also held positions at Local Initiatives Support Corporation and at Enterprise Community Partners. I got my professional start in the private practice of law.

Education and Training

I earned a joint degree in law and public policy from Harvard Law School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and an AB degree in public policy studies magna cum laude from Duke University where I was an A.B. Duke Scholar. I obtained my coaching training from Georgetown University, receiving a certificate in Leadership Coaching in 2014 and I hold a PCC certification from the International Coaching Federation. I am a member of the coaching teams at Goodstone Group LLC; Inclusive Leadership Strategies and Comskil, Inc. In addition to the perspectives and experience I bring to my clients, I am certified to administer the EQ in Action Profile; the Leadership Circle™ Profile 360 assessment and am a TetraMap® Certified Facilitator. In my spare time I serve as Board Chair for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School and am a member of the Board for Our Maryland, Inc.
